Comedy magician. Former attorney. Husband and dad in Chicago.
Scott Green discovered magic at twelve, while visiting his grandmother in Florida. Two years later he booked his first paid show.
In 2009 he graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law and passed the bar. He has never practiced.
His path has led him to Penn & Teller: Fool Us, to the United Center scoreboard as the Chicago Bulls’ team magician, and to on-field and social media work with the White Sox and Bears. As a stand-up, he has been featured at comedy festivals across North America. Today he headlines his own show, Scott Green Lies To Your Kids, at Chicago’s iO Theater.
When the 2020 shutdown closed every stage, he built Magic Together, a ticketed show delivered in a box, and hired out-of-work magicians to help deliver it. Thousands of boxes went out.
Scott is also an award-winning humor writer. He was named to the UWire 100, a list of the best young writers in the country, for a humor column that ran in outlets including the Washington Post. His book, Excellence in Family Magic, is an industry bestseller that sits in the libraries of magicians including David Copperfield, Lance Burton, and Teller. He lectures at magic conventions, teaching other magicians what he has learned on stage.
He lives in Chicago with his wife and their two children.
